You can now get participate in the new Source SDK Update public Beta, modders can now create single player and multi-player mods based in the HL2:Episode Two source code. Also it adds the ability that allows users to add custom scenes to Orange Box games. [br]
To run this beta version you will need to add
-beta srcsdk0122
to your command line when you start Steam. This can be done by opening up the Windows shortcut you use to launch Steam and adding
-beta srcsdk0122
right after Steam.exe. For more info click here.

I don't suppose this includes the long-promised EP2 engine updates to HL2 and EP1?

Worst news update ever. I don't know whether to believe you or not since you did post about the new CTF_Well coming out yesterday, but alas, it didn't.

You, sir, are a fibber.

Blame Valve!, don't blame me!
Also i said "if nothing goes wrong"

I see what you did there. You gave your safe a little safety net. **** you Digi. I still don't believe you for a second! :|

Why the heck didn't they use the "participate in beta tests" option in Steam settings? That would make things a bit easier.

yer i spent ages fighting with the shitty security in vista64 to change my shortcut, then discover no particle editor :(

No particle editor and broken linux makefiles. I think I'll give this update a miss until it's out of beta.

Does the Hammer Light preview now work correctly ?

Now that I volunteered for the beta, FacePoser and ModelViewer have worked for the first time in two years!
