the movie features Kirk, Spock and Bones when they first started the academy

Captain James T. Kirk = Matt Damon

Spock = Adrian Brody

Bones = Gary Sinise

not sure how I feel about Damon, although the Bourne Identity proved he could judo chop as well as shatner ..now if only he can get the flying leap of two footed fury prefected

Adrian Brody looks the part and is a good actor

Gary Sinise will be prefect as the cantankerous doctor

I've never seen an episode of Star Trek in my life, let alone the films, but I like both Brody and Damon so... yeah. Nice job.

By the way, before you start having a go at me for not watching it, remember I live in the UK and it's such a small thing over here. The argument could be, have any of you Americans seen Doctor Who?

I don't see what everyone has against Matt Damon, he's been great in almost everything ive seen him in( he blew me away in the departed).

Great cast imo, looks like this has a chance of not sucking.

Well they all sure as hell look the part. I think Gary Sinise is especially well cast.

I didn't even realise people had something against Matt Damon.

The "Matt Damon" character in Team America is one of the reasons people laugh at him ;)

Damon and Brody in Star Trek? They should have casted low-profiled actors.

I can't see too many people other than Damon who could pull it off.

James McAvoy would be good for Scotty, although he's a bit skinny.

QFT.

Granted, I think I'm one of Gary's biggest fans. I don't know why people don't like him more than they do *Same as Matt Damon.* Great at acting, always get into the roll well...I just don't see the negative!!

You arent really missing much. Sinise is the best thing about it.

I've never seen CSI:NY..so I guess that's good. But I can't imagine he's the reason it sucks :P

Um... GTFO. Seriously, I have to ask how old you are? Cos yeah, Star Trek isn't so popular now, because, uh, it's not on tv and the last series was hardly popular. But through the nineties it was about the most popular TV sci-fi besides the X-Files, I reckon.

ya not his fault ..the entire CSI premise is at fault ..oh well at least he doesnt inspire random punching of inanimate objects like David Caruso does ..god that guy is annoying
