New study on games and violence - good news for once

sure jack thompson and all that idiots will not listen to that article and will still blame games until theyr goals succed

"massively multi-layer online role-playing game,"

multi-layer? someone doesn't know what they are talking about. also AC2 is a poor choice to test the effects of video game violence, no one will take this study seriously if they actually know how tame the game is.

Except that most of the time the people blaming video games for violence also know next to nothing about the games they are talking about.

i doubt it. the guy probably thought he heard 'multi-layer' since it sounds similar, and its also a word. just shows that he doesn't know much about the subject.

Actually studies are pretty much always good news for gamers. i haven't seen any professional study say anything bad about games.

Yeah, it was in last week's edition of the economist.
That was one of the best articles on the subject that I've seen come from outside the industry.

he also said MMRPG instead of MMORPG.
To be fair, they both pretty much mean the same thing. The "online" part is considered to be implied in "massively multiplayer", as far as I'm considered.

And yes, I'm back. Computer's fixed, hooray for me!
