A new update for Team Fortress 2 has been released, here is the change list:
  • Added Custom Tab explanation dialog to be shown the first time the server browser is opened
  • Changed Medigun Ubercharge meter to drain faster for each target that still has Ubercharge beyond your current target. This means there is a penalty for having multiple people being Ubercharged at one time
  • Fixed crouch-jump exploit that allowed players to get outside of the world
  • Fixed bad characters in the chat string when achievements are announced in languages other than English
  • Fixed a few instances of truncated text in the menus and dialogs for languages other than English
  • Fixed problem that was preventing some dedicated servers from uploading gamestats
  • Fixed scoring bug during Sudden Death when the map timelimit is triggered
  • Added the string "(extra slot was added for SourceTV)" when maxplayers is increased for SourceTV

Restart Steam, get new update.

wow, I thought it was rather difficult to keep multiple targets ubered during a pitched offense. Why'd they nerf that?
 
I dunno, seems odd to me I didn't think it was that big of a problem and it does take some skill to execute properly.

I was about to say this was a poor decision, but I thought about it and now I'm glad this was done.

It seems strange, because Valve seemed to be encouraging the differences between skill levels (which I didn't agree with). It requires some skill to keep it on multiple people.

But yeah, thinking about it, it is a tad an exploit. I'm certainly glad it's gone, either way.

tbh (and i play medic alot) i don't really understand / noticed the problem here.

Im i right in saying if you uber charge & click on a few different players it will drain faster now?

I thought if you stopped the beam hitting a player, they would stay ubered for a v small length of time, not even seconds?

Does that mean if three medics on the team are Ubering 3 differnet people they all lose ubertime?

No. This means that one medic can't uber two or more players for the same length of time as a single uber.
 
I suspect the nerf is to make the uber gun less powerful compared to the new unlockable weapons. Otherwise this would be a crappy move on Valve's part as it simply dumbs down the game and makes the medics most interesting job less involved.
