"In addition, Vajna confirmed that C2 is in "the final phases of development" of a fourth "Terminator" film and that the series will have a link to what's being envisioned as a new feature trilogy."

Cool stuff. Was hoping there will be a 4th. :sniper:

No offense, but you've been excitied about some pretty bad movies lately o_O. I mean, Terminator should've ended at 2, 3 was barely average, and now a 4th? Ugh.

Meh, if they're going to do a Terminator-based series, they should set it in the post-apocalyptic future - humans vs machines.

Raziel gets exited about anything that has guns and explosions in it. Its worrying enough that he likes the Resident evil movies. *Shudders*

I think the Terminator series should move away from the "Send back evil wobot to kill a member of the Conner and then the resistance sends back a good wobot to stop him" formula and onto the battles between man and machine.

Lets hope it doesn't suck. Terminator 3 wasn't exactly great.

I like a lot off movies. Just because i saw i like a movie a lot doesnt mean i can compare it to another.

I love Donnie Darko, Crash, Recreum of a Dream, American History X, Revolver. etc

I also like Resident Evil, Chronicles of Riddick, Matrix 1,2,3 etc.

I like a lot of types of movies.

It's 'Requiem' and half of the movies in that list you've just compiled are absolute stinkers suggesting you're easy to please when it comes to what you watch.

Resident Evil Is A Great Movie Stop Saying Bad Shit About It The Movie Is Awesome Ok Gtfo If You Don't Agree

CAPS LOCK ALL THAT K

The dude's name in the link is Andy Vajina.

The first one was B movie goodness.

The second one was pure awesomeness that I have yet to see topped in an action film.

The third was total "Meh".

Hooray, the Terminator movies are totally turning into the Alien franchise.

First movie great, second movie better. Third movie tolerable and then downhill from there.

****s sake. They had ruined the terminator series enough with 3 :flame:

Didnt like 3 to much. I thought it would be the war with the machines. Im hoping thats what 4 will be about.

I liked 3 :(

Not the best *2 of course* but I enjoyed 3.

I feel if they do 4 in the apacolyptic form *they kinda have to..the nukes went off..* then it will work out pretty good.

But the majority totally suck :P
Well, your opinion I guess.

[sarcasm]You know they should make a Rocky 6 movie, that would be fantastic! [/sarcasm]

Wait... they are really going to.. :x

OT: haven't seen T3 but seeing your responses I'm not going to. What are they thinking milking a cow so thin it could fit through the letterbox hole?

Am I the only one who thinks the original was better than T2?

Nice Terminator? Learns emotion?? Makes friends with a little kid??? :/ Uber cheese.

(I did like T2 btw ;))

The third was very average.

I actually liked it for those reasons, and I felt they pulled it off without being cheesy. Of course it sounds that way when you describe it like that. But I don't necessarily recall him learning emotions or "making friends" with anybody.

Even if there was an undeniable cheese factor, it's more than made up for by the totally badass presence of the T-1000.

Anyone here been on the Terminator "ride" in Florida?

John Connor and the Terminator go into the future in order to destroy Skynet once and for all (they're actually played by Arnie and the original young John Connor). The world is a total warzone like in some scenes from T1. It's pretty awesome and has a sequence almost exactly the same as the bit in HL2 where the little flying things chase you (I reckon Valve stole these to be honest). The ride is a 3D glasses thing, so they fly right infront of your face, pretty cool. Arnie pwns them in spectacular fashion with a shotgun of course.

Eventually they get to the "boss" who is a T-3000 or something. Think a Metal Gear Solid style machine but more organic with liquid abilities like in T2.

That's what Terminator 3 should've been. Awesome.

Yeah, I remember that. I was waiting for something big and badass like that in T3.

I've just been reading this:
http://www.goingfaster.com/term2029/t3review.html

Hopefully, the producers will have learned a hard lesson on this movie, and will give the Terminator fans what we had hoped T3 would have been; future battle drama. T3 should have been the story of John Connor’s future rise to commander of the Resistance and his fight against SKYNET with lots of machine smashing action. it should have ended with him sending back Kyle Reese and then the second, reprogrammed Terminator. That would have been a third movie that would have tied all three together and made a nice trilogy, but no… they had to rewrite T2 and use a sixth grader to do it.
That would've been a cool ending. John Connor sending back Kyle Reese, which loops it straight back to the first movie.

Okay. I actually had this thought back when I heard T3 was coming out. I don't think that the best way to continue the series is to make T4, T5, etc. It was evident through each of the first three films that an epic war was coming. (Yeah, I know they were trying to stop it.)

Instead of creating another Terminator sequel, create a new line a movies that is itself a sequel to the Terminator line of movies. As in, don't call it "Terminator 4," call it something else entirely. I feel this gives the filmmakers lisence to change subgenres a bit (if the war is here, it has to change, since the scope of the action is much bigger, i.e. entire human race fighting for survival vs. protect/assassinate VIP) and explore other paths, which viewers would have felt mislead if they called it T4. It would be tricky to keep things innovative, though.

I'd hope the sequel line does well enough to expand into a trilogy, possibly spinning off another line, creating a trilogy of movie lines.

And then they'd go back and make Terminator 4, in which they use time travel from late in one of the other lines to nip the war in the bud, saving mankind and rendering every movie after the Terminator series an alternate reality that ended up never happening.

Resident Evil 2 I thought was a great movie.. I've never played the games so that's fairly objective in that respect

As for Terminator... I think now that it won't have Arny in it many people won't watch it. However, there's no reason why they can't make a good movie the setting isn't bad.. Get a good script, good actors, and a good director and you really could have a great movie... Just don't hollywoodize it and it will be good.

You are the first. Aside from Raziel. But he does not count. Are you sure you phrased that right?

Pi and others speak truth. Post-apocalypse ftw. 'Tis what T3 should have been. Yesh.

T2 ranked about 9 or 10 out of 10
T3 ranked about a 2.

Arnold made a huge mistake making that movie. It was a shitfest.

These TV series will be incredibly lame.

Post-Apocalyptic ftw is for damn sure. No one makes em anymore! I mean, if any of you have ever seen "A Boy and His Dog", that is true ****ing post-apocalyptic shit right there yo!

Well.. for some reason I liked it.. I don't know why, it just sat well with me... I thought it was at least better than the first resident evil...

Wasn't some of the action cool?

if they are going to make it post apocaliptic I hope they make it good whit good scenarios and stuff like that
cuz I hav started to see that lately are movies that looks like theyr are not expending so much money and resources,a example is a movie like doom,in the game the marines use some big metal armor and futuristic guns and in the movie it was swat like pijamas and normal weapons just whit some thing attached

It was over-the-top and ridiculous, but I wouldn't call it cool.

I actually found the first one to be better. That was contrived crap as well, but at least it had more resemblance to the game. Well... sorta... kinda... nah.

First Resident Evil movie FTW.

Second Resident Evil movie FTL.
