Downloaded it last night. Got on a server playing Crossfire2 :) I remember this map from the original HLDM. Awesome game

I had to download the map before I could play though. My question is what maps are included, If any, With HL2DM? Do I need to download the maps? I know there are already loads of maps out there but I thought there would be at least several standard maps included in the download.

Cheers.

lockdown and overwatch are the ones included...

You can download maps from authors sites or maybe hosting sites but main hl2 sites have yet to put up databases i think...

it only came with overwatch and lockdown. More (good) maps are slowly are on their way (I like Watergate).

You should download Heart of Revolters. It's a more strategic map for HL2DM - like a SvenCoop map maybe. You can find the link the general hl2 discussion forum.

I read about Heart of the revolters on the main page of HL2.net. Looks like a good map. I've heard about Svenco-op all the time over the years but never played it. I don't even know what it is!

BTW, where you I download maps? Obviously I'm mainly interested in the one that are on servers & being played. Davernice mentioned Watergate. One of my mate's recommended that aswell. He also mentioned 'Depot'.

Sven Co-Op sucks arse.

You can get maps when you join a server running them, Steam will dl it for you :)

I logged onto a server playing Crossfire2 & Steam downloaded the map. Later I whent on another server playing the same map & Steam started downloading it again. I checked in my maps folders & there it was! Could it have been a different version? I noticed there are several beta versions of some maps floating about.
