No more information, only that it's called Nine Types of Light and will be released this spring.

I was bouncing off the walls with joy when I read this yesterday, so I wanted to share the good news. I'm relieved that TVOTR's self-described hiatus didn't end up permanent.

Dave Sitek recently released a solo album under the name Maximum Balloon recently as well, and it's a pretty great record in its own right although it's not TVOTR obviously.

A new TV on the RadigaehrudAHFYUGDLJHGK welp, looks like I don't have to masturbate anymore.

I lost my Return to Cookie Mountain :( I really liked that album. Which others should I check out?

eventually i'll have enough tv on the radio songs that i actually like from their entire discography to make an album all for myself that isn't full of useless, not so great sub-par filler tracks that line each of the amazing songs i do like.

so, cool.

This opinion absolutely flabbergasts me. Something tells me you haven't given most of their albums a thorough enough listen because I've never heard anybody express an opinion like this about TVOTR. To each his own... I just find it really hard to believe you actually think this. It's depressing as hell to me :( On that note, they have a lot of obscure tracks from single b-sides or EPs that aren't as easy to find and are GREAT. Get your hands on the songs Dry Drunk Emperor, Dumb Animal, the Glitch Mob remix of Red Dress, New Health Rock, and the Willie Isz Remix by Jneiro Jarel of Shout Me Out.

Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes is their first full album and it's a bit less accessible than Cookie Mountain but has a lot of quality tracks on it. I especially like Wrong Way, King Eternal, Staring at the Sun and Poppy.

Young Liars is their first EP and all five tracks on it are great. One is an a cappella cover of Mr. Grieves by the Pixies and it's a little weird, but the song Young Liars is ****ing incredible and the other songs are strong too. Blind is the weakest, Staring at the Sun is obviously great and Satellite is wonderful too.

Dear Science, (comma intentional) is their most recent album and it's pretty strong too.

Basically their whole discography is worth checking out, don't listen to Mr. Lowercase Gloomypants over here. Their sound definitely evolves a lot over the three albums so you just gotta see what works best for you. I got into Cookie Mountain first, then Young Liars, then Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes, and Dear Science, came out later and I love it too. Their "zero" album (self released, rare) is called OK Calculator and is basically experimental trash for the most part although there's a little bit of value in the mess.

nope, i've given them all good time, though maybe not so much dear science, and i honestly don't think they're that great. the songs i do like are genuinely good tracks, but for the most part i don't see what the fuss is all about.

pfft, Blind is by far the best track on the whole EP!

I love Blind but not nearly as much as Satellite, Young Liars or Staring at the Sun (the YL version of which has a 30 second additional intro over the album version which IMO makes it a little better)

see, young liars is their most consistent release for me, because i think three out of the five songs are astounding. they are satellite, staring at the sun and blind. don't care young liars or mr. grieves much.
