new Vampire Weekend album

Vampire Weekend's new album, Contra, came out today. I've been listening to it all day and love it.

Does anyone else here enjoy Vampire Weekend? If not, I'm going to be very disappointed, as they're one of my favorite bands.

never got into the first album, got contra when it leaked a few weeks back and still can't enjoy it. far too much autotune.

You're gonna hate me, OP! Personally I can't stand Vampire Weekend. I always found A-Punk really irritating and the only way I can describe Cousins is a musical mess. It's like they came up with too many ideas for the song but couldn't decide what to do with them all so they decided just to throw them all in together and, imo, the resulting song is horrible to listen to. Sorry, but i just felt I had to share my view with you.

I loved the first album but I Contra is taking a back seat at the moment through massive amount of Delphic, The Temper Trap, The xx and Florence and the Machine.

But from what I've heard it's OK.

Been listening to it a lot lately. They got so much influence from Paul Simon's album Graceland, you can tell. They hate hearing that though.
