Skyloft is pretty

Trailer shows us Skyloft properly for the first time as well as Link's Bird/Chocobo/Roc mount, the people of Skyloft, the new Zelda (who gets eaten by some sort of evil sky whale), first in-game view of the sword girl, someone who looks like a badass version of Rauru (same colour robes and everything), new gameplay and a fight with Debbie at the end.

She has the Hyrule royal family's crest but without the Triforce on it

Edit: More details. Debbie's official name is Demon Lord Ghirahim. From the looks of things you fight him more than once through the game. Proper swordfights too, one to one. Debbie/Ghirahim also refers to someone (presumably Zelda) as "her holiness" and is possibly the ruler of Hyrule/the land bellow at the start of the game. He's also totally bonkers. Video of boss fight here.

The sword girl's name is Phi (not sure on the spelling) and the game will feature areas in the "Siren World" where Link is unarmed and must sneak around one-hit-kill guardians to gain new items. Multiple upgrades for equipment is also confirmed. As is a less standard layout for levels. Instead of just the same old do dungeon, go to next area, do dungeon you will be interacting more with the environment and revisiting previous areas with new equipment to explore them further.

Looking nicer than ever. God, that animation.

Too bad I don't have access to a Wii any more. :(

princess zelda likes the big cock

Stunning. I'm probably going to impose a personal media blackout on myself after this. I fear too much is spoiled already :/

I doubt I'll enjoy flying a bird in a Zelda game. I enjoyed land and sea travelling, but air in a zelda game?

After seeing the art style more and more i grow used to it, i might even like the style by the time the game gets released.

I wish that nintendo didn't make consoles, and instead only made games. Their games are great, but I can never play them because their consoles aren't worth owning.

What the hell is that fruity enemy guy in white? Oh no, Zelda went totally anime, there really is no escaping it over there.

Also whats with all the angel stuff in Jap video games lately?

Looks better than I have been thinking after last year's E3 mess. Does anyone know if you HAVE to swing the Wiimote around like an idiot to kill the monsters and such? I would greatly prefer a Zelda where I could use the classic controller....

I like this. The sword fight at the end of Twilight Princess was immensely disappointing. This looks to be an improvement. Pity that I can't stop comparing him to this guy:

Sweet jesus I just watched the boss gameplay, that licking of the lips is disturbing.

Sounds exactly like Metroid. I approve.

That boss looks more like a Zora that went emo rather than a villain.

Wouldn't really work. The enemies are all designed so that you have to react to their orientation and posing and you must attack accordingly. Eg the deku babas either open their mouth horizontally or vertically and you must attack in line with the way it's open or your sword just bounces off it. They'd have to either rework all the combat (and a lot of puzzles) or make a very awkward system that includes direction slashes on a controller.

The Ganon fight was disappointing but I adored the Darknut fights (Temple of Time miniboss, the huge knight guys) were some of the best in the series.

Did I mention you have to collect tear-shaped objects while avoiding the guards? So yeah basically it's the exact same thing. But did you play Spirit Tracks? They had the same system there and it was much improved (basically everything in Spirit Tracks is much improved).

I may be the one person that liked the sneaking parts, from an overhead view. Not having an overhead view is going to be very annoying

For reference, play Abes Oddysee then play Munchs Oddysee, you need to have a clear view of everything that can spot you at all times for it to be remotely fun

I can't recall the Darknut fights, I assume they were decent.

I did play Spirit Tracks and I did find it a major improvement but the phantoms themselves, and the constant switching of them just got too monotonous for my liking. I think the bad taste left from both of those temples just sours anything remotely related to it.

Updated OP with some new infos.

What the **** was that sword fight video? I half expected him to lick Links ear then giggle away. This is so anime its inducing a seizure. Miyamoto has gotten LAMER somehow
