Hey, I just thought I'd start off my first post with an ever common hardware question:
I've been trying to figure out what kind of computer to get. Theres an Intel 3.2 with PCI express and an AMD with SLI. The AMD with SLI is far too expensive so I figure the Intel 3.2 would be a better deal because pretty soon all computers will require it and Intels only lag behind AMDs slightly. Then I figured that a regular AMD would be a good too...
Should I go with the Intel with PCI?

theres no difference isnt sli jsut a really thin card and fan and u can have 2 on top of each other

My biggest worry is the processor. I'm thinking of financing an alienware...

sli means you can have 2 graphics cards instead of one, giving double the performance.

I just built my own pc... link

Cost me about 700 at the end of it all, not inc. monitor, but with new mouse and keyboard. oh and I borrowed a 6800 gt. heh saved a bit aswell but ill have to fork out for one sooner or later.

I don't want to take the risk of building, I'm afraid I might seriously damage the components or make a terrible mistake.

Building a Computer isn't that difficult and you will know exactly what you have.

Go AMD 64bit.

GOD NO.

Aleinware overprices the shit out of themselves.

I do not reccomend an alienware.
