Newbie: Lost CD And Steam Initilazing

Hey Guys,

I took a look at the steam powered FAQ and couldnt find my answer so here goes:-

I lost my Cd and cd key but I still have an account on steam with the user name "Machismo". Could someone tell me wether I will be able to log into steam and redownload the game. I'm willling to provide my username to thwe admins so that they can check it.

My second problem is that I keep getting steam initializing and steam doesnt open at all. The initialing phsae doesnt complete. I've tried it multiple times and it doesnt work - I'm running Windows 98SE is this the problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes you will still be able to download your game(s) - your steam account is tied to them.
As for the steam issue - you could try reinstalling it.

Yeah thanks got it. Downloading Half-Life 2 now. How come Coast is there in my games will download that too.
