I have read some tutorials and I know the basics, but some thing i dont understand:
1: What are "area portals"?
2: What are "hint" and "clip" textures? (i know they could be used for something special, but what)
3: How to make that "blur" effect what you could see in HL2 single player, when you look out from window and walk away from that window => the image in the window goes blurry... I think that is used to keep up fps, is it?
EDIT: 4: How to make alyx (for example), come to say something to you and do something, eg. press button on wall.
