upgrading mobo, processor, and vid card soon
hopeful comp:

Msi 895m
ATI x800xt Platium
Audigy 3

most of those are futuristic and not comfirmed, but there are LOTS of rumors goin around

Car, Girlfriend, and other random crap all cost more money than you think. im not trying to bring you down, thats what you may spend your money on. i had all sort of thoughts of stuff i wanted when i got a job. sadly its not all its cracked up to be...

oh really? but you made a double-blunder. you made 2 assumptions, that first he is/going to be heterosexual, and second that hes going to get a girlfriend without even thinking twice.

however in relation the second, not everyone is a slave to social trends and bandwagons of pop-culture. not everyone is too weak to get by on their own, so they need a mate for support, or they will be miserable. not everyone is so afraid of what their social circles think, that they conform because its the only way they can feel good about their predictable lives.

he can choose to do what he wants, there is no law stating you need a car or a girlfriend. and computers don't have the capacity to be evil like women(barring pcs running windows ME), so they are indeed a good investment.

now, this wouldn't be an internet forum if someone didn't chime in and say that im saying all of this because im either ugly, gay, or both.

Note you said blood, not gore. I don't think a big nosebleed is for 18 year olds only Halflife is not a gory game so i don't see any problem with a 12 year old playing it.

i was just trying to say that by the time he gets to that age, there are other things he may want to spend his money on. i used those examples because thats what i spend my money on, you're right there is no law saying so, and i wasnt implying so. i was just comparing his experiances to my own.

Well, then tell her a 19 yr old respectable Bristol Uni student says it's totally fine and won't ever warp his mind. Just don't expect to be allowed to play Doom III any time soon
