Quick update:

- ATI/CZ users will get turned on later tonight for the CS: Source test

- An update will be out today as well. This is largish (~60 MB).

- The size of the update is due to the Video Stress Test it includes. You'll be able to do some initial performance analysis using this test and report the data back to a central server. The results of the VST will be posted on Steampowered.com.

- HL/2 pre-load will begin tomorrow. It was ready yesterday, but we decided to use the bandwidth to get out the VST first since I get pelted with zillions of questions from people asking how their PC will run Half-Life 2

Class. Thanks for the info. It's nice that he keeps us in the loop. And it's good to know why the Half-Life 2 Preload didn't start on time.

Where the HELL did you hear that?! w00t is a variation of "woo". It's a cheer showing happiness.

I read it somewhere. I was suprised when I found out. It explains where it came from. If you have a better explaination for the "t" then please, tell me.

EDIT: Actually it's debatable where it came from, but I like this explaination the best.

Well, I've been trapped in thought wondering if my computer would handle this game... this VST will be good news to me.
(Im sure I can run the game, just wondering if I can pump the settings all the way up)

Alright, so this is very good news. IF only they wouldah told us yesterday, when all our problems seemed so far away.
