Sega reveals the first images of its next play of horror entitled Condemned and developed by Monolith on rising generation of consoles of show Xbox 2 and PlayStation 3 like on PC.

This play announces being of a new kind since it is about a mixture innovating between a FPS and a survival horror, a single experiment of the fear in a distressing and ultra atmosphere realistic. In this thriller psychological, the player will incarnera Ethan Thomas, an agent of the FBI which will have to inquire into several murders made by of Serial Killers in a dark and worrying universe inspired of the Seven film. Thanks to the technical capabilities of the future consoles, the editor announces already a degree to us of realism ever reached with in particular of the graphic components of a very high quality such as textures of the play.

Looks nice enough. Not what the crazy xbox 2 quality sounded like though..

There were just some crappy screenshots, it will probably look better than that jeez

Next gen games are going to end up looking much better than that.

Resident Evil 5 - just think about it :D
 
Wow. Gaming is going to be getting a whole lot better in the next few years.

Agreed, looking at the specs of the systems you'd expect a little better, but I don't think developers have the dev packages yet, so I guess we'll see.

Granted those are pretty low quality screen grabs.
It's 1 step below looking real
thats like the first game for the next gens, imagine what will come.

Did you see ?
Live shadows layered on top of still shadows
The shadows looked smooth as hell.
I bet it runs smooth as hell... like 100 fps

I can't wait untill PC's make a big technology jump with a big cost drop

Those screenshots do not smack me as "real" at all. It looks like Doom 3, albeit with less detail and more blocky environments.

Granted, the image quality isn't too great, and the real maker/breaker is seeing it in motion. But from what I'm currently seeing, I'm not that impressed. It's just not the same kind of "oomph" that the X-Box made when it was first revealed.

That's not to say that the next-gen consoles won't be able to turn out better.

...They better.

Keep in mind that alot of initial launch games never exploit the full potential of their release console. Not all, but quite a few do.

Well said, people expect to much, I do believe that these are not a good representation of a next generation console though. I would proberly bet that its actually running on PC at the moment. Its very very early and I don't think sega of all people would get a first game release. I dunno I could be wrong. I will stand corrected if I am, thats just what I would expect at this time.

Read up on the Unreal Engine 3 physics engine, it pritty much just blows away Havok.
 
It looks nice, not completely amazing...but that's expected.

I keep in mind what Ridge Racer looked like on PSX back in the day...and what games turned out to look like on PSX near the end of its time. Big improvement.
 
Yes I have read up on the engine, i've also worked with the SDK for it.

There is nothing amazing about novodex, just that it has a very fast solver. And we have not seen havok 3.0
 
Wow...a lot of messed up people here. Really look at those shots with an eye for detail and lighting. They're certainly more resource intensive than HL2 (I'm not kidding, those are some serious effects on some surfaces) and are far above and beyond anything you'll see on a console today.
 
I like how chunky and solid the fps looked.

These are just very early shots, games are going to look much better than this - and far better than anything we've seen on the pc up to now.

Because these are next-gen games and Xbox is ten-generatations ago. Xbox could run them, as fast as windows XP can run a slideshow of my pictures folder.

I like doing slideshows of the my pictures folder, even though it only has two pictures in it... ;)

Those look like Doom III's graphics but slightly better. I think they look pretty good for scans.
On another note: I feel totally dizzy because I've been bouncing on a trampoline and I still feel like I'm on it.
Anyways, back on topic.
This would be the new reason for me to get a console. I hope they port this game to the PC.
 
That doesnt look bad. Might get me interested in getting a console finally.
 
Meh, looks ok, I hope it becomes a launch title tho, I really need a good horror title after completing RE4.:p

Edit- I wonder if it'll be FPS or more The House Of The Dead-ish?
