Right now I am looking to upgrade my graphics card and my processor. I have a GeForce 4200 128mb and a P4 1.6Ghz. I will be upgrading to a Radeon x800 Pro and a P4 3ghz(eventually). What would you all suggest is more important to upgrade as far as gaming performance goes?

Thanks

x800 is more important then the cpu however your cpu is getting old. Upgrade to the x800 first though

But his cpu is quit a BIG bottleneck if he gets the card, and vise versa, so i'd rather go for both a cpu and a graphics upgrade. You'll gain more with that.

Would you guys suggest going higher than a 3ghz? Only thing it would bottleneck might be the x800 XT right?

So right, I think I will bottleneck a tad with my X800 Pro, even running a 2.1ghz amd 2600+. I bet he won't see full performance till he upgrades the cpu. I say do both at once is your best bet.

The processor will bottleneck it, but I would really get the X800 first. You get better visuals with dx9 and stuff, and it's also best to get it as soon as you can because they are selling fast and there is high demand for them. How soon would you be upgrading to 3.0ghz?

Awww damn blahblahblah, too late :P I don't bottleneck with X800 Pro at all, its a very nice card I must say. Still go with the cpu first then the gfx card, because you could always get the X800XT :)
