Played it for about 5 mins and boy does it stink! Horrible camera angle and graphics arnt all that.

Gameplay is like a poormans PGR4

still people will buy for the "ZLICKKK TUNINGZZ!!!!11" and the "RXO DUDEEEE!!!!1"

Porche Unleased is amazing, I still get the 356B out and go for a cruise on the Cote D'Azur

I loved Most Wanted and Carbon, but I lost interest in this one as soon as soon as I found out that it's pretty much Gran Turismo with body kits and stickers...arcadey street racing and police chases FTW.

Porsche Unleashed was the LAST good need for speed game. I love the driving physics and customization in that one. It felt like you were driving the damn car, down to the really old Porsches that barely sputtered along and felt like they were made entirely of steel, the squirly RWD rear-engine 911s that took a degree of self control, etc . . . it all felt like you were driving the damn car. These days NFS just gets worse and worse for driving physics; it feels more like you're playing a damn video game made for kids (8-13 year olds).

I disagree...I'm not looking forward to Pro Street because it claims to be more realistic than the past few NFSs. If I wanted a realistic racing game I'd play Gran Turismo or Forza. NFS is supposed to be the Quake of driving games, with 100 MPH cornering, nitrous that works like a jet engine, etc.

It kinda gets old after a while, every NFS game is the same since underground.
And those before weren't super awesome,I don't really get into racing games now..

seriously, I don't know why people looking for a realistic gameplay in NFS.

Well almost agree with you there. the problem is after Hot Pursuit 2 (the last NFS I enjoyed) they've taken this "fast and the furious" concept route which I hate to death.
I don't give a **** about the damn car customizations, nitros and other shit.

I want the old NFS back with enjoyable gameplay plenty of beautiful sports cars to choose from and exotic tracks to race on. Is that so much to ask?

And before anyone suggest I try Grand Turismo, I have to say that I'm not planning to buy any type of console now or in the forseable future...

I got carbon and was like, well this is alright. So I checked out most wanted, that was completely awesome. Then tried underground 2 and couldn't stand it.

I hope they don't ruin this NFS with a shat story...Carbon and MW were both good games but the whole "YOU'RE ON THE EDGE, DUUUUDE" storyline ruined it a bit

Yeah, the Underground series sucked, no doubt about that...but Carbon/MW were a step in the right direction by removing some of the "bling" factor(ie, cosmetic mods are no longer necessary to gameplay) and bringing back all the cool European/American cars while keeping the good Japanese cars. Basically, it brought the focus back on uber-fast racing and police chases.

ProStreet looks like it'll get rid of all of that.

I loved most wanted, the rest I hated. The pro street looks stupid. At least the trailer had a 3rd gen racing in it :p

I actuallyed enjoyed the demo, although I didn't really like how it was so easy to win. I like the fact that they're moving away from the 'street racer' aspect to a more professional racer kind of view. I hope they really put some effort into the tuning. It's still arcadey, but it's more realistic than the previous NFS games.

Most Wanted was awesome. 'First I'm gonna steal your car, then I'm gonna steal your girl'

awwww yeah

they should go back whit the old style instead of the current "XTR33T RAZERRR!!!!" theme

The only thing I would change about MW would be the difficulty level. I mean it can be dirt easy or hard but the whole catchup thing is retarded.

But the thing is, NFS has always been about arcadey street racing and police chases(even before the Underground days). It's not supposed to be about professional racing, we already have a bunch of games that do that better. It's like if Valve suddenly decided to make Half-Life a tactical realism shooter.

The MW/Carbon series combined the best aspects of both Underground(car customization and varied race types) and pre-Underground(badass sports cars and police chases).

I downloaded Porsche Unleashed again the other week because I remembered how awesome it was back in 2000/2001.

I agree with the OP - ProStreet is an absolute joke of a game. It's not surprising though - Mass produced tat is all EA are capable of. They really are ruining every genre one by one.

still they ave the same "DUDE PUT TUNING INTO YA RID3 TO BEAT EVERYONE IN ZLICKXXX AND FAST RAC3 TO GET DA GIRL DUDEEE!!!" style which is annoying

Yeah, the games' story and dialogue is kind of annoying, I'll admit that...but you only have to put up with it for like 3% of gameplay time...

Finally played the demo. Some 90% of my games look freaking fine at 1280x800 in comparison to 1680x1050...all but Episode 2 (some kind of over brightness/gamma effect going on there). For this game though I had to put car stuff low and off while putting everything else on,low and high to get a good framerate. I even tried it with everything max which gave me slideshow framerates but it doesn't really look all that better. I think I'd be satisfied if they just put this game into the most wanted graphics tbh.
edit: If you play this followed by Most Wanted using a maxed out Evo, you are ****ed in handling for a whole minute.
