Just got to see this film, pretty impressed.
Very, very energetic, my eyeballs felt like they had a full work-out from the non-stop effects and camera motion.
It felt like the unlikely offspring of Lock-stock,C.S.I and underworld.
It wont be to everyones taste, but its worth it as its got to be the most unique horror-fantasy film of this year(at least).

Now I have to wait for the sequel(s) , oh well.

I've been keeping an eye out for this movie but I thought this wasn't out yet? I guess they released it early in the UK?

I think it's been out in Russia for a while, I downloaded it a while back. VERY good, some questionable editing choices at times, but for the most part a real treat to watch. I can't wait for the next two (Day Watch and Dusk Watch), the story is just getting going. And M83 and Brian Eno songs are in the trailer, hell yes

Yeah, it was a special preview in mayfair this evening, not out here for another month(lots of russians there tonight).
About the editing, it was pretty full-on with very little breathing space. They managed to squeeze in loads of action and plot but with very little regard for pace or tempo, well I guess they were doing a whole novel in two hours.

Ionise, you should edit out how you got it, no-one needs or wants piracy advocated here.

i got this on a hong kong dvd from otakon and watched it with my friend who's taking russian, i personally thought it was great, even if it lacked some information on concepts introduced in the movie, would help to read the books, i think, but still a fine movie and thoroughly enjoyable

Well it's the only way I could get it. I'm really looking forward to a north american dvd release. Sheesh
Hell, I'm probably one of the only people on here who has never downloaded a game

I doubt that , but talking about it is against forum rules (or so I gather).

Oh, cool, I'd been hoping this would actually be good. :D
