Ninja Gaiden 2 shots/info.

Wicked, its on 360. I can die a happy man... after playing this of course.

Different developers eh? I've had the first game in the house preowned for ages but I haven't yet touched it.... heard it was brutally difficult.

Same developer, different publisher. This time's Microsoft are doing the job, making it pretty much a 360 exclusive.

I will definitely have to check this one out. It looks pretty darn sweet, esp. the dismemberment. :D

Oops, misread it.

I'll have to try the original I suppose, but the screens do look nice.

so this pretty much summarizes that the ps3 version won't share a light of day...?

Unfortunately so. It's a bit of a kick in the teeth after Heavenly Sword turned out to be quite mediocre and Sigma an Xbox game at a higher res. There's always DMC4.

oops, didn't see that ;)

This one's dedicated to NG2 - it needs a thread all to itself due to being awesome!

I gotta say Microsoft is doing a hell of a good job keeping things exclusive. Makes me glad I bought a 360.

YAY! :D I was expecting this to be on PS3 cos sigma was on PS3.

That's a bit premature don't you think? I will be picking up my copy today from my special little shop so I will say whether it is up to snuff or not. I have high hopes....

Ninja Gaiden is fairly brutal in terms of difficulty.

Learn wall attacks fast.

Don't forget to attack the enemy weak points for massive damage.

Possibly, the reviews have put me off. Edge realy lade into Heavenly Sword giving it 6/10 - largely due to the numerous projectile sections of the game which are apparently dull and go on for far too long. A few other reviews have echod the same criticsim. I'll be interested to hear what you think as I enjoyed the demo, but with so many cool games coming out there's not much room for something that doesn't look that special.

It took me about 3 hours just to defeat the first boss, the nunchuck guy. Then I sort of got into the swing of it, it was awesome, but then...

THE SECOND BOSS. ;(

Cool. Looks pretty good I guess, but I wish Team Ninja would learn to use that one thing that seems to be all over 3D games nowadays... oh yeah, textures.

As long as it plays as well as the original I'll probably be picking it up. Maybe I'll even finish it this time! (****ing helicopter)

As long as it runs at a nice and constant 60fps i'll be happy.

It's Team Ninja, so it's a fair bet it will. And despite being pretty flat graphically, their stuff always looks great in motion. Noone really does attack animations better than them.

That footage disappoints the crap out of me actually. Sure, it is fast and violent, but the environments looks pretty darn uninspired and lackluster. Hopefully the other ones will look better and they will add some more special effects to make them a little more atmosphreic. (I really just miss the 2D days...*sniff*)

I would give it an 8 out of 10 and that is mostly because it is rather short. That said, once I got the hang of the projectile parts I absolutely LOVED them. To each his/her own I suppose, but I thought they were incredibly fun and I am looking forward even now to going back and perfecting my shooting in those levels. Kai is arguably the best character though.
