Well I just rented this game because I heard it was good and so far I've been impressed but I have a few questions. Since when you rent a game you don't gete a manual I couldn't read up on a few things.

First, when I look at my Dragon Sword it says its level 1 out of 3 levels I believe. Do I level it up by killing enemies with it or is there some other method I have to use.

I bought this Wooden Practice Sword while playing. I noticed it had about 9 levels, I didn't count, compared to the Dragon Sword's 3. What is the advantage to leveling up a Wooden Sword as opposed to your Dragon Sword.

Also since I just started I'm not that good but I'm getting better. I'm not a button masher like my friend I actually try to do what would be best for that situation. Button mashing only working for so long, I already do far better than he does. One problem I had was at the "Ninja Fortress" was the boss. How did you beat him? I tried fighting him head on and quite frankly that was a bad idea. I had to beat him jump doing a wall jump going into this blue flip thing that hits him and running away. I felt it was a cheap way to beat him but it was the only way I could. Is there a more head on type method of beating him or is the only way to fight like a coward(like I did :))?

You can level it up by buying 'upgrades' at Murasma's (sp?) weapons shop. Also... if you get to the third or fourth - to - last chapter the sword is upgraded past the third level... just to let y'know :).

The wooden sword (after you eventually upgrade it the max number of times) becomes an EXTREMELY large... well, I guess you could call it a bludgeoning paddle? It's extremely slow, but deals an incredible amount of damage. Personally, I stuck with the Dragon sword because most of the later bosses you have to attack quickly and precisely, which is best done with the Dragon sword.

I forgot which boss that was... was that the one with the tentacles??? Sorry... I've just beaten the game on Hard last week, and some of the bosses appear later on in the game and it gets a little bit confusing :).

I was a fan of the Diabahro or whatever it was called. It was the huge golden sword that did massive damage and wasn't too slow. It killed those sewer things with the knife-like arms in two hits.

My one main gripe about this game...those ghost-like fish. Those were some retarded bad guys...and they were so annoying. I was forced to use my flails and fire wheels against those lame-asses (I don't like the flails).

Thanks :). The boss was the guy with the numchucks.

That's a little thing called strategy :D. You and I are the few that actually figured out the best way to kill them was with any Kai power attacks and the Vigoorian flails :p. I personally like the little mofo's 'cause you can get some f*ckin' crazy (err, well I mean a LOT) of essence from those guys. Not just yellow, either... red, blue, and yellow.

I know it's good to have diversity of enemies and different strategies for each...but if I even slipped up once on those guys at the wrong time, I'd be dead (If I started attacking a bit too soon and my combo ended just at the wrong time, like 10 fish would jump me and I'd die).

I was actually disappointed with the last bosses. I beat him the first try. I heard it was really hard (the normal difficulty mind you) and a kid I know said he had to stock up on everything. So I walked in with full everything (also 3 talismans of rebirth) and I didn't even have to use a single potion... (For clarification, I'm talking about the lava fights through the very last fight)

Yeah... the last boss was pretty damned simple (the GIANT one in the lava...) actually, the VERY last one was easy, too. :-/ Oh well.
