WTF???

Tecmo said:
"Nintendo holds the publishing rights to Fatal Frame Wii, which was developed by Tecmo LTD. and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31, 2008," Tecmo said in a statement. "Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America--consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America."

You have got to be kidding me! This has been one of my most wanted Wii games for a LONG time now and is a great example of how mature titles can succeed on the Wii and the series has a huge following and....ugh. Whatever. Keep making stupid moves like this and not bringing Fragile over and we will see how long this platform supremacy lasts Nintendo.

(Thank god Silent Hill Wii looks awesome.)

Hey Core gamers, we're still dedicated to making the Wii a platform for you too! Look forward to all the mature, hardcore games coming soon! The Wii isn't just for casuals!

Thank God. I'm having way too much fun with my Wii balance board. Keep up the good work Nintendo, my grandparents have never had such a great time.

Are your grandparents multicultural?
Silent hill is lookin great, thanks for the link..I might actually have to pick this up.

For the ps2

Are your grandparents multicultural?

Yes. There are also children of all ages and ethnic backgrounds in my family. We have a dog that has fun whenever the Wii is being played, too. We always smile and make exaggerated motions whenever we play video games as a family. We got our Wii for free from some Japanese guys who drive a Smart Car door to door.

A troll in a nintendo thread? NO ****ING WAY!

As I read this I thought "I must buy a Wii." Then I read "PS2 and PSP versions are also planned" and I came. If they do this for Silent Hill 2 aswell I will have no choice but to buy a Wii. I simply won't have any choice in the matter (Though if they do I hope they would go for bloody instead of stormy, and I really hope they wouldn't use Pyramid Head from the film).

Edit: After reading the interview on Silent Hill Wii I am filled with the urge to buy a Wii. Making thread now.

Why does the title say US/EU? Your quote (and I've read about this already being a Fatal Frame/Project Zero fan) says North America. The release in Euroland and other places i.e. Australia is not affected. Quite frankly I think this is a very stupid move on Nintendo's part.

Sure Nintendo has said "Oh no Europe release" but I think they're full of shit.

It's all about boobies.

Wii owners! Hey, Wii owners! At least you can look forward to some other Wii games that are absolutely amazing!

They keep up forcing people to use piracy(as you can't play FFIV without piracy tools). Why the heck would they prefer piracy above releasing games in US/Europe?

Cause Nintendo has no idea what the hell they're doin when it comes to the core

But luckily for them, we don't even exist!
Maybe silent hill will turn this around for them, who knows but really..they don't even need it.

I know. I just took the title from the article. If it does not come to NA, I doubt it will come to the EU, but I pray I am wrong. It better come to both!

What's this? Another blind fool who still has faith in nintendo?

Please stop typing.

I'm done with nintendo's "Go **** yourself, harcore gamers" attitude.

I think I lost understanding of what 'hardcore gamer' was a long time ago. Something to do with being a dribbling moron who will buy any generic piece of shit FPS that is pumped out? Anyway, this is a pointless argument, so lets stop now.

Also, I totally ****ing forgot about Disaster: Day of Crisis, is it really not coming to the US? :(

It's an opposite meaning of nintendo's casual gamers definition. Meaning idiots who buy games like wiimusic, excite truck, mario soccer and other mario licensed garbages, and other sort of bullshits.

"Other sort of bullshits." Oh I can tell this is going to be a difficult debate! The fact of the matter is that you're judging Nintendo for some of the decisions they have made as a company (very smart ones, as a company) and the reaction by consumers. Yes, there are plenty of idiots who buy Wii so they can play Wii sports and the dreadfully stupid Wii fit. Is this type of silly behavior exclusive to the Wii? Last I checked there were still plenty of idiots who buy consoles so they can play every iteration and expansion Halo and Call of Duty over and over. There are good games all across the board. You might call me a fanboy, or a retard, or a 7 year old, but Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games I've ever played, and while Nintendo is quite slow to make new franchises, the new iterations still feel as fresh and different and fun as the first ones, especially compared to the generic shit often pumped out by Sony and Microsoft. They may not all be ground breaking, but are yours? At the very least I can say mine are fun.

You've got to be kidding me. Tell me Little Big Planet is generic compared to nintendo's same old garbage. I dare you. I double dare you.

Little Big Planet is a very good game that I've played and enjoyed on many occasions. I did not enjoy it as much as Lost World or Super Smash Bros. Brawl though. It's just about the only PS3 game that makes the PS3 more worth getting.

Little Big Planet is the exception that proves the rule. Oh, and now Flower. These games are both highlights of this generation for me and rare examples originality, but certainly no more so than Mario Galaxy or Lost Winds. Let's face it, none of the current platforms can boast much in the way of innovation at the moment and it's in traditional 3rd party games that the Wii has been a let down. When it comes to originality and innovation I rate it higher than either 360 or PS3. Party game wise it slays them with ease.

And lay off Wii Sports, it's one of the greatest things released this gen. Over the weekend we had what must have been nearing our 100th Wii Bowling session with around 10 or so friends - guys and girls all in their late 20's/early 30's - and it was as much fun as it was at launch.

There is no such game call Lost World. But there is Lost Wind.

But I prefer Braid over it.

I meant Lost Winds. I guess this slip up has changed the entire argument and now I must concede that Microsoft and Sony are "totally pwning awesum!" and that Nintendo is "super gay".
