No it's not. Compare it to the prices of the other consoles. What did you expect it to be, less than £100?

Two days after release, I got my Gamecube for about 140-ish. This is 170. I stand pretty defiant at saying 'Win' at those numbers.

Well it was believed it was gonna be £180, so this is happy news.

Either price with a game is all good :)

Wii Play comes bundled with a wiimote too - good if you plan on having more than one.

What's this Wii play thing about? I know about Wii Sports...

I strongly believe that the initial pricing of the Wii is to allow for future price cuts. I remember when the N64 was released; within a month it had gone from £250 to £150 and was selling for around £100 by the end of the year.

What's this Wii play thing about? I know about Wii Sports...

Apparently it's a "game" that teaches you how about the Wii and it's functionality. Effectively, an interactive manual.

Wii Play comes free in a controller bundle.
Wii Remote + Nunchuck + Wii Play.

It comprises of entirely multiplayer games and is the second in the "Wii" series, hence the second game to use your Mii avatar. (After Wii Sports)

The games, like Wii Sports, are all basic games to help people get to grips with the controller. It comprises of Duck Hunt, Target Shooting, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Table Tennis, Pong/Air Hockey-type game, some weird game that looks to involve clicking on Mii avatars and possibly the Obstacle Course demo shown at E3.

The third game in the Wii series is Wii Music comprising of Wii Orchestra and Wii Drums (so far).
The fourth game in the Wii series is Wii MotorSports and so far only consists of Wii Airplane.

I didn't know about the others games - sounds neat.

I love the way you can use you mii avatars in some of these games. Little touches like that add so much to the fun.

Man I want to get most of the wii series. Hopefully the Wii Music will let you create music and save them and upload them for others to hear.

You could hold the wiimote in one hand, and strum with the nunchuck in the other for guitar, holding the buttons down to get certain.. hmm. I don't know how to play guitars :p.

But oh crap I just thought - Will we be able to change our handedness in the Wii menu somewhere? I'm left handed and I know the Asians (and most of the world) hate us lefties (check Wikipedia for the truthiness). Hopefully it'll be an option :\

The Wii-mote and Nunchuck are both ambidextrous. They both form to either hand and I imagine that in the internal memory of the controller you can save your preference so you can immediately tap into a friends console with your other info like Y-Axis calibration etc.

EDIT: I've just noticed how many Wii questions I've been answering. I've just absorbed so much Wii knowledge since E3, checking Cubed3.com every day and IGN every other day that I've pretty much become a fountain of Wii knowledge. :E
