No Firepower

Hey, I'm in the water hazard level and have just gotten to the part where the Vortiguant attaches the chopper gun to the airboat. The problem is, I cannot get the gun to fire. My screen says, Ctrl: Fire Airboat Gun, but this doesn't work. Any ideas?

It should be the same control as your normal weapon fire. Default is Mouse 1 (Left Click) Unless you re-mapped the controls, otherwise I don't know.

Hi, thanks for responding. I did reconfigure my controls so that Ctrl is used to fire weapons. I tried changing this to a different key, but I'm still having the same problem. You should probably know...I used a cheat to get the airboat before the gun was supposedly installed. I did this because my boat had disappeared when I got out of the compound earlier in the Water Hazard level and didn't want to replay the level over again. Could this be the problem? The airboat works fine otherwise....

Also, I found another place where people had this problem, and I don't think they used any cheats to get the airboat. Could this just be a game glitch? Should I replay the level?

if your fire button is your ctrl key then does it work with just your guns your carrying?

You have to restart the airboat chapter if you did this.

The first airboat is specifically named and triggered to many events. New and freshly spawned airboats wont respond to any sequence.

Thanks for all your help - restarting the level did solve the problem. I realize now that I previously couldn't even see the gun on the boat, but now it is obvious and it works correctly. Thank you!
