If valve continues secrecy till release and we have to get the game to figure out what the multi-player and performance (yes I know about the benchmarks) and everything else, it will be AWESOME. They are anti-hyping...which is awesome. Can you imagine when Valve finally stops with the HL2 secrecy and we all of a sudden know everything. Valve rocks. Praise the day when this happens. September 30 is near.

I was thinking that too, seeing they kept HL2 as a whole secret for 4-5 years, they can do the same with the release information. So screw fragmaster and his followers

In that case, they'd simply say nothing at all rather than make openly misleading statements that seem to clarify that the game will be released on time.

i would'nt be inclined to say we know everything, we just got some benches... Speaking of which i just thought up a great poll idea. How many people that have just drained there pockets to buy a 5900fx have or or plan on:
a) driving a nail through that worthless piece of silicon
b) crying themselves to sleep everyday until halflife 2 comes out and then will proceed to shoot themselves
c) kept the receipt
d) have found there lives have lost all meaning and have entered a catatonic state of depression

i have a ti-4200 and it looks like the ti cards are handling hl2 better than the fx

Well, when 9/11 happened, I saw the smoke up close to my house. I only live like 15, 20 minutes if that. It was scary man, seein it in person, rather than just seeing it on TV.

I won't start worrying about Half Life 2's release date unless it doesn't go gold within the next 5 days or so.

If it gets to the 20th (im buying in store, rather than steam, box lover) and it isn't gold yet (on CD [DVD?]s i mean) then i might start panicing

but its no big deal. I don't think they underestimated by a month to a holdiday season

Although it's VERY likely that Valve will announce when the game has gone gold, they may not.

I'm not going to think the game is delayed until:

1) It's not released on the 30th of September.
2) Valve says it is.
