No post Count! (right now, anyway)

I like no post count. Now there won't be any spamming to become more "senior." Although it's easier to trust a more "senior" member on a topic which may have come up before.

But you can see join date and "headcrab" or whatever status, which is an indication of seniority (I've only joined today )

Supposedly, there is a special link you can give to friends... If they use that link to join hl2.net, you get a referral. There was once a plan to give prives or special benefits to people who got referrals, but they never did.

What about those of us who have been around since the initial announcement but never signed up? I've been through everything with you guys (a silent partner if you will), but I only signed up this month.

And since your designation (headcrab, zombie etc) is still based on post count, even if we cant see it, I don't use that either (and never did, the amount of times you post isn't a measure of you knowledge).

I don't really believe post counts OR join dates prove a heck of a lot.

Having 14,000,000 posts doesn't really equate to being smarter or better, just as someone having 10 posts doesn't equate to them automatically knowing nothing. Same with join dates.
