No sound from the p22

In CS:S, I get no sound from my p22, i thought it might have been a bad files from a skin install so i got rid of them, however it still does ha no sound, the reload sounds are fine, but the fire sound is not there. When my friend logs into his account on my computer he gets the sound for the p22, but not me. any help?

So you got rid of the skin files, did you check the sound folder as well?

Steam\steamapps\<youraccount>\counter-strike source\cstrike\sound\weapons\<gun>

yes i did, and the script folder.

now it just seems my sounds are failing to work left and right, however this time its the reload sounds. the reload sounds on my mp5,TMp, and deagle, no longer work.

It doesn't make much sense if your friend gets proper sound on the same computer...
Reinstall Steam?

I dont wanna have to do that just cuz a couple of sounds aint work'n not worth it.


EDIT: ok, so I'v figured out that its one of my skins and the skin sound files have nothing to do with the problem. One of my skins is doing something, i just have to sort through them all and figure out which one it is.
