No Sound

Hi, i just got my pc put together by my mate... it has an NF7 mobo with onboard 5.1 sound... i got it all working (although it's not on the internet yet) except the sound.. i have put in a set of plantronics headphones into the black socket.. as the audio sockets are different colours.

Is there anything wrong with this, and is there anything i've missed out during the pc being put together? (my friend did it for me). Why, o, why do i have no sound?!

not as yet.. il do that now... ahh i had the heaphones in the wrong socket, was supposed to be the green one.,. lol nevermind. thanks for your help bliink.

make sure you update the soundstorm drivers also
