No sound

Ok, right. Just bought Half-Life 2, everything works (thank God) exept the sound. Pretty fugded up. Anyone got the same prob or does someone have a solution for this?

YES! I do have my sound on and YES! I checked options everything is on the highest volume. The sound works just not in Half-Life 2....

I have the same problem. The sound works fine before the game starts, and when the VALVe intro comes on...but after that: nothin'. I have confirmed my audio drivers, I have checked to make sure all the right boxes are checked in the game itself...I just don't get it.

Fixed

I got the problem fixed...just put in 2 speakers in stead of 4 or 5.1 at the audio options menu. THat should fix the problem.
