no water, no barrells

i wonder if anyone else has had the same problem...

i'm at the canals bit where you get the barrells are dropped from above and set a light...

my problem is that there is no water there and they don't through any barrells in, so i can't progress.

i tried loading a previous game save but it happened again and again.

anyone got any suggestions please? :cheers:
