No windows startup/shutdown sounds?

Hi, I need help with this. For some reason my windows startup and shutdown sounds dont play, i have checked in the sound options in the control panel and its all fine, the sounds play when i preview them, but no sound when it actually logs on/off. Help kthx

anyway, with service pack 2, i have been experiencing the same problem.

well, i can't help you much. but, know that your not the only one.

i hope a new update is realised quickly.
