So I get halfway through the Tanker section (U4 lab) and I get hit by a load time. I wait 12 minutes (twice) and no such luck. Lame.

If you are running with DX7 it will crash at that level load. Try DX9 if your video card can run it.

yeah they are trying to fix it, they know what's happening (official forums, on both Ritual and Steam)

yeea, switching to dx9 worked to get through the load screen, but now the game runs so choppy that it's almost unplayable. It played fine all the way up until then!

You can switch back after that level.

Yeah, it was the same way for me. The framerate gets choppy here and there but the game is still neat. As far as load time goes it's not all that bad for me, hopefully there's a patch or something to fix the choppiness.

unfourtunately, until fixed by a patch, the only way i know of to get around this is by typing in map SE_u4lap_03 in the console, which will load up the next area, but in my game, the whole Radek/sub thing never happened (characters and props never appeared, and I was able to walk past the area without anything happening)
