Will half-life 2 have a non-steam internet option like WONID, for example.

As i LOVED half-life one when it came out and played it for ages but when steam came out i was very disapointed as i have to have it running witch slows down my internet and PC, plus its an external peice of software, and i dont really want to have loads of software programs running in the background its just plain stupid...

So will HL2 be surplied with steam or will it be nice and have wonid? or another type of interface to get on the net, cheers.

and how will it play on the net? 2v2 or co-op or like a 10v10 clan match?

Nope, there will be no "non steam option" with Half-Life 2.

Steam isn't so bad anyway. I can't believe it will slow down your PC enough for you to notice a difference.

Yeh, HL2 will come with Steam, HL2 and Steam are pretty tightly integrated.
