I need some help here, deciding which nonpolar substance/solvent to use in a "foodprocessing" experiment.
Nothing carcinogenic. At all. Even if only in huge ammounts. No carcinogens, no terratogens. Basically, nothing cancerous.
I was reccomended pentane by a HL2.netter who will remain unnamed for the time being.
Problem with pentane though, is that it's NOT VERY EASY TO GET D: D: D:
Otherwise though, it'd work perfectly.
Is nonane nonpolar? I'm guessing it is (by looking at the formulae), but i'm not positive. Is it easy to get?
Any other ideas?
