You know... I just realized how little media i've heard about regarding the situation in Mississippi and Alabamba regarding Hurricane Katrina. WHy is it that so much of the media attention is only focused on New Orleans? I have absolutely *NO* idea how bad things are in the other states, because the media is not reporting it. Everytime I hear anything about Katrina, its always focused on New Orleans. There needs to be an equal coverage of these things so people can get an accurate and adequate representation of the scope of the damages involved, not just the focus on a single city, which seems to be happening.

Hell, only thing i've heard of mississippi and alabamba has been the mention of the states names, uttered here and there and nothing more.

I know you're being sarcastic... but still, you're kidding right? Mississippi has huge numbers of african americans in its population. I don't know the exact numbers, but I do know that mississippi is VERY diverse. In the 1950's Mississippi was 45% black population. Not sure what modern day stats are, still looking.

You spelled Alabama wrong bitch. I should kill you just for that. Also alabama wasn't hit hard. Unlike the other states we actually moved our people away from the coast and so on in time.

Also lemon...just stop posting in politics.

Exactly, chappy. If you stop posting, there will be no bitch.

Anywho, you could just as much say that the pentagon didn't get enough coverage compared to the wtc attacks. People focus on the bigger disaster because it's bigger.

Exactly. The other states might have a few dozen deaths which is a lot but it simply doesn't compare to the thousands upon thousands that died in New Orleans. Everyone knew New Orleans flooding would be the biggest disaster to hit the US this decade, much bigger than 9/11.
