me and my friend just about 10 minutes ago have been getting kicked off of counter-strike due to unknown reasons. it could be our internet, steam, but he says he is getting vga errors.

anybody else witnessing any problems right now?

I am the freind he speaks of and I do not know why this is happening. One minute I am on Dust, then it goes to Dust 2 where upon loading the map, I got bad looping sounds with a crash to the desktop and this message:

The nv_disp.dll display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functinality. The next time you reboot the machine a box will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to Mirosoft.

And like I said, it happened WHILE playing CS already, so I could not have made any changes to anything to make it start doing that.

Somthing to note: My card has been going nuts with the temps (lotsa dust) but I ran rthdribl for about 15 minutes and the highest I saw my temps go was 88C, I know that is high, but that is after 15 minutes, whereas CS goes bonkers as soon as the map even shows. Also, I never got that error message while running rthdribl.

EDIT: Ignore my post, I solved the probem by disabling fast writes (which I forgot to diasble after resetting my CMOS a while back).
