Not Supported Mode

Hi, I have a 40" Samsung LCD connected to my pc (using TV as monitor) and when I start and game from orange box, the screen goes black and I get this error "Not Supported Mode". This has also happened before with World in Conflict game and the solution was to press Alt+Enter to go into window mode and change the settings from the options menu but I cant do that with any of the orange box games....

Comp Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
4GB DDR2 PC6400 RAM
320GB HDD
XFX 8800 GTX 640MB
Windows Vista 64-bit

any help here would be really appreciated!

If you want, you can attach -windowed to the target of the game.

Right click on the game in Steam, open Properties, and click "Launch Properties".

type "-windowed" (without " ").

it still opens in full screen mode

plug in the monitor you were using before and change the resolution to 1024x768 or you can do that in the launch options as well. i dont remember the command. i think its like -y 1024 -x768. someone correct me if im wrong.

No, it's -windowed.
