Christmas, is so ingrained in popular culture, that it doesn't really mater whether you're religious or not, you can still celebrate it. I don't really see the issue, at this point I see it as much a secular holiday, as the new year celebration.

and I agree Christmas should just drop all the phony religious pretentions. they should just call it annual gift giving day because other than a handful of traditionalists the religious significance is all but gone

yeah the word Holiday is no longer holy. I also hate seeing people get so upset over a stupid tradition. every year my family tears each other up on how much giving we give eachother. i'm with my brother on the fence, if you don't feel like giving, don't give but eat and be Merry

I still get presents, and probably will for a long time. My mom loves christmas, but mainly because a lot of family is around and we all spend time together, which is also why I enjoy it. I don't think I've ever believed in god or anything like that. I believed in Santa as a kid ...and still do =D

But I agree with the rest of you guys, christmas and religious holidays don't mean what they used to, most people use them to get time off work and enjoy themselves
