Nowadays only arcade/action games might be better compared to older games
Discuss!
(not necessarily a representative comparison, but the point is comparing games in the same category->old game vs new one)
Arcade: Teenage mutant ninja turtles vs. Bayonetta (hmm tough one)
3d/FPS: Half-life vs. Crysis (hmm...HL probably, due to great plot and story)
RTS: total annihilation vs. AOE 3 (TA wins)
Simulation: collin mcrae rally 1 vs. Dirt (CMR has better driving mechanics, Dirt is arcadeish)
Adventure: Fallout 1/2 vs F3 (bwaahahah...)
Speciality: UFO: EU vs. there's nothing close to it today
Ok it's a bad comparison but games once were truly games, nowadays they are like Hollywood movies...all the same with a few good exceptions.
The amount of creativity that was once present, is not here.
Edited for more clarity. The title won't change, not sure exactly why
