Changes in beta 2...

- Renamed bsp file from keved_hl2_dm01 to dm_np_refinery.
- Prevented access to rooftops.
- Added Magnum beside large generator in outside yard.
- Added Shotgun in the other yard beside a partially destroyed wall.
- Added more decals on walls.
- Added various garbage props and decals at base of stairwell and recesses in the double petrol tank room.
- Made it possible to run over the plank-ramp instead of crouching, and added props above.
- Made it possible to smash the middle upright piece of wood in the hut windows to get out.
- Increased the brightness of the red lights in the yards a little bit.
- Fixed a few texture issues.
- Removed some objects from the outside to help lower lag.
- In the stairwell, replaced a long section of handrail which wasn't matching up with a broken version.
- In a yard outside, increased the gap between a broken window and a ruined wall to improve flow.
- Added more stuff to the 3D skybox.
- Ambient lighting was set to 255 255 255, making pickups glow and gave props almost no shadow, amongst other things. Changed to a darker ambient value based upon the colour of my Sun, but with more ambient illumination than before. The shadows outside are now both lighter and more in keeping with the colour of the sunlight. Dynamic props have proper shadows, too.
- Added a few lights & light fixtures outside.
- Easter egg added. Can you find it? :)
- Changed a prop ruined wall outside for some brushwork.
- Removed 2 fence props outside.

Beta 3 is now available...

- Done a LOT of hint brush optimisation. In many places there are now significant performance improvements.
- Replaced spawn point near the crossbow on the catwalk.
- Removed 3 explosive barrels from outside.
- Added wooden plank to get up to the RPG.
- Allowed access to the ledge above the RPG (though you'll need a physics object to jump up onto).
 
One suggestion :) use the lightmap scaling to make the indoor lighting and shadows more precise, especially in that room with the skylights.
 
Good stuff... I love the way you take alot of time to add all the finishing touches to really improve performance!! class act!
