I wanna kick some Strider butt in "Highway 17". I was around the area where you got to pick your car up with the crane and take it to the platform where the warehouse is.
I tried this thing that HL Fallout mentions, and "npc_create_aimed npc_strider" does nothing.
It claims that by typing it into the console, it'll spawn an NPC facing the player's direction that s/he's pointing a weapon at.
And I aimed everywhere, even at the sky. Nothing. :(

"npc_create npc_strider" works...sorta. When a Strider is created, it's stuck in the sand or in the rocks. And that ain't an exciting battle IMO.

How do I fix this? Is it the area itself, why it won't work? It looks perfect for a Strider VS Gordon battle to me. Plus, the Strider can kill the Antlions.

Its better to use give npc_strider
and it wont move because no one has coded a set path for it to follow
the strider cannot choose a path itself like the soldiers (even they wont do anything unless they are in an area coded with info nodes

you cant i dont think
the info nodes require coding skills and you'd need to use the sdk to set up your own mod or modify an existing map
some of the mod makers round here would know the stuff to help you make a map

i see you're doing what i am doing at the moment - spawning loads of enemies to fight
i usually just fight about 20 combine soldiers with their health ramped up to 150/200 and organised into squads

I see. Well why did they even put the console command there if they don't even move on their own? Just because?
