NTFS Data Recovery

I recently formatted but I missed something that didn't backup properly :flame:

Anyone have a "free" and reliable data recovery tool they use?

I have "GetDataBack for NTFS" that I'm running now, but I've only had moderate success with it in the past.

If it's really important, stop using the disk right now! The more you use it, the bigger the risk that what's actually still there will be overwritten. Send it to a recovery shop. I know there are people who specialize in this kind of thing, and you should let them have a look at it. But it really does depend how much and what kind of stuff it is.

EDIT: Oops... i read him wrong.

Your best bet is a data recovery company. It's expensive but if the data is really important.... do it.

If that doesn't work you could go to a recovery place but unless it was really important data it isn't worth the money.
