It's basically a multi-linear game with very few interaction, in which your choices make huge differences. Took me about 60 hours to get all the "routes" (5 in all) done. I loved the story, and the vareity of endings.

There are only 5 "true" endings, one for each route, and other bad endings.


Uh, can't comment much, as its availability is restricted almost primarily to the Japanese islands. I had to prodcure it through means that are probably not quite legal.

Go watch the anime remake for the story, if you wish. The anime is basically all the routes strung together.

Spoiler:

Sawatari Motoko, my favorite "route" heroine. Unfortunately, she dies in the real ending. Perhaps the saddest route there.

Yuichi finds out about Makoto's true nature from a first year student at his school named Mishio Amano who once went through a similar experience with a different fox in her past. It is at this point that Yuichi recovers all of his memories concerning meeting Makoto as a fox ten years previous. Knowing that she will continue to deteriorate until she ultimately dies, Yuichi resigns to stay by Makoto's side and do as much as he can for her while there's still time. Yuichi even takes a leave from school for the time being.

Yeah. The fox is Motoko. This also made the route the freakiest ever. I mean, (I have the all-ages edition, btw. Don't care much for hentai) the blacked out scene passes, and the story goes on, and then you think, WTF? You f*cked a fox?

Nah, I'm moving on to Moon Princess (translated) Tsukihime, is it? The game that melty blood was based off on. Melty Blood React is pure awesome.

Kind of, an example:

Do you ask your cousin to
#1) Help clean your room
#2) Walk around the shopping district

And if you choose #1, you never get to meet some other charector and suchlike.

Actually, when you put it as choose your own adventure, it sounds kind of cool. Somehow I'm not convinced on the adventure aspect from those pictures though...

Nope, it isn't one of those sims where you buy some gifts and stalk girls and blahblahblah. It is actually, exactly like a choose your own adventure game, with shitloads of sadness.
