Nvidia's 7950 GX2 card benchmarked.
It's SLI on one card!
It is supposed to be similar to 2 7900GT's in SLI mode. Faster core although slower memory speed.

It uses less power with a load than an X1900XT, nice.
If you only have 1 PCI-Express slot then you can still compete with SLI /Crossfire rigs that use highend cards.
It is a lot faster than a single 7900GT. lol

Yeah they are working on that. Although it won't work that way ATM. Unless you go to Alienware and buy their system which has quad sli.

Whoops you're right, I didn't read Gamespot's article closely enough.

If you manage to get your hands on two GeForce 7950 GX2s, you can run them in a single system to enable Quad SLI mode. However, for the foreseeable future, Quad SLI configurations will only be available only through system builders.

on the evga site it says that u need a min. 450 W psu w/ 28 amps on the 12v, so would a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103931 get the job done seeing as it has 19 amps on 12V1 and 19 on 12v2? I'm just not sure whether you would us 19+19 or 19 on one card and 19 on the other seeing how this is sli ready and just using one of these cards would not be really sli but just one card needing 28 so would one need 28 on one 12v rail?

It will work fine. It is Nvidia SLI certified afterall.
