Nvidia and ATI bidded on what card to be in the bundle?

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11419 Basically this says that Nvidia and ATI both bidded to be the one to bundle Half-Life with their card. It even states that the sum reached into the millions before Nvidia pulled out. Interesting, no?

Take it with a grain of salt though, the Inquirer isnt exactly the most reputable site out there.

I would've liked to see what happened if NVIDIA had won, heh heh. Ton of gamers going 'WTF? Why is this running so god damn slow?" (Reads special attached notice for Half-Life 2 video card editon): "Disable DX9 features to get playable framerates...huh?"
