NVidia card for £150?

I'm thinking about upgrading my rig, have a 8800GTS 320 at the moment which is getting a little old.
I have been offered a 1 gig GTX 280 for £150, is that a fairly good deal? If not, could I get something of similar performance cheaper, or similar price with more power?
(I'm not sure about the gains in speed moving from my 8800 to a 280, either.)

The average sold price on ebay for a gtx 280 looks to be around $160 to $180 usd (100 to 112 pounds).

And searching on ebay's UK site shows very similar. Sounds like you'll be paying about 40 pounds too much for it.

That sounds too much for it. I'm sure I've seen them on sale much cheaper - like $89 (in the US). I don't want to sound like a broken record, but you might consider the GTX 460.
