Anyone ever flashed their BIOS on their video card? I have heard that new features and optimizations can be added via a bios upgrade.

Their used to be a website with all the BIOS packages and instructions but it is long since gone :(

uh thats only for motherboards, people rarely flash video cards and the only cases they do it is in ones like with ati 9800 non pros to flash them to 9800 pro's. flashing a video card bios does not give new features.

Unfortunately you are incorrect. People looking to tweak their systems do flash their video BIOS.

no like i said they do it to overclock in some cases like the example I gave above, but you can't flash a bios to add new features on a video card.

your both right, 1) you CANT add new features that the card dosent have, but 2) by flashing BIOS the bios makes the card think that the core and mem speed is whatever it should be for whatever cards' BIOS you flash your card with. Say GF 4 ti4200 =300MHz core, 300MHz mem, with a 4600 BIOS it would atomatically change the speed to match what normal GF4 TI4600's run at. Thus, giving you thats speed, PLUS more room to overclock your card. That is IF your card has enough to cool it, and if the chip you got (core) can handle that speed. :) hope this cleared things up.
