ive had an ati card and an nvidia card.

one thing that i notcied is that, the NVidia card has somethign called saturation, makes u adjust the color display, not contrast or brighess but makes more color or more radiant, the ATI drivers dont have it, but hte nivida did

if u know what im talkign about and know how to make hte ati card muke more vibrant colors say something

but ive noticed that the saturation ati only does it when video is playing. it wont do the desktop.

Yes Ati Is T3h Sux Cuz Theres N0 Satourashionz0rz.

edit- who cares?

this definitely does not make ATI bad, it's probably a factor for you.. but you shouldnt say that ATI is bad?!
I dont own a ati card yet, so i cant help you with your question

but still man.. next time, try asking a question in your title like "possible to change saturation with ATI?"

First, set all of your software color levels to default and properly calibrate your monitor. That probably will solve your problem.

If you still need to change specific settings, check out powerstrip.

*girl voice*Oh know you ain't talking shit about ATI girlfriend!*end girl voice*

Theres nothing wrong with either cards. I have 3 Geforces and 1 Ati card, I like the ATi better and all, but the others are good too.

hmm..not sure i understand ur problem.

do u mean when ur watching a video the screen is dark?
because if thats ur problem... its also my problem.
most videos for me are so dark that i can only see the bightest spots slightly.

and i have tried re-installing drivers, tried using Rage3D.. played around with the settings.. nothing seems to work.
for now i have given up.

That could just be your monitor.
USE POWERSTRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you cna do this with ati cards.

R-Click on desktop -> Display -> Settings -> Color

You jsut have to manuel change the RGB settings.

that does not work for me.
hmm.. so it looks like i might have to download this program..see if it works.

I upgraded from a Geforce3 Ti200 to a Radeon 9800pro and the only thing I miss is the Digital Vibrance Control on the nvidia card. I like my colors a little brighter than normal but I've gotten used to not having the DVC.

Also why do you say nvidia good and ATI bad? I would think it's quite the opposite...

1. ATI hardware is far more advanced... why do I say this? well they run cooler and require a lot less power and they don't need a hoover vacuum system attached to it to keep it cool

2. ATI has a shorter pipeline than nvidia which negates the need for optimizations on ATI cards whereas on the nvidia cards they have a longer pipeline and require game development companies to spend MORE time developing games for the nvidia cards.

3. GeforceFX cards doesn't even render DX9 graphics properly! They might have fixed this with driver tweaks but l remember seeing a comparison between ATI & Nvidia using this DX9 ball program which was actually posted on the forums a week or so ago. ATI looked really nice whereas nvidia looked really horrible.

4. ATI is Canadian and I think we can all agree that Canadians kick ass ;)

ATI Forever!

I don't know what you're smoking, but I can perfectly well adjust my brightness, saturation and gamma among others.

And for ****s sake, is it really that hard to strike the right keys on your keyboard and not making it look like your posts are purely random?

Wasn't responding to you, was responding to that tard hyenolie :)

But what drivers do you have? With Catalyst 4.5 it's just under Display Properties > Advanced > Color

I'm not sure if Omega drivers have it too, but it seems logical.

See attachment.
