NVidia Mod contest "Make Something Unreal"

So I was reading about the Unreal/Nvidia 1 million $ MOD contest, I think that it's really a great Idea, the one who wins will get apart form a large sum of money, a engine license , witch means they can and certainly will comercialize it.

I really think that it's a great competition and I hope that ATI will make the same to promote the HL2 mod community. It would be really fun and would make some hard comeptition out there.

I'm pretty sure a mod called "Red Orchestra" for UT2004 already won that.

MSU is really cool / fun idea. Epic/Nvidia were extremely smart for doing it. Best ut2k4 mods are SAS, Frag-Ops, and of course Red Orchestra.

Ati/softimage-xsi are very community oriented companies at times. I wouldent be suprised if they contributed significantly in some way to the modding community. It would be nice to see ATI sponsoring some Lan parties (nvidia does that alot more) but after HL2's release ATI should be alot more active (along with valve's other partners). Also I believe this pertains to general gaming

yeah, theyve finished 3 out of 4 phases. and the grand finals are in november or something
