nvidia problem

I also got the nvidia gforce 5200 and when I update my driver opengl lags horribly, but when I install the original, unupdated driver by cd opengl goes smoothly but hl2 does not.. please help!

try the new beta drivers......forceware i think they are called..........worked for me.......also......riteclick on the game hl2 when ya wanna play it in steam......go to properties of the game........launch options............................ type -dxlevel 90 -heapsize 128000 -gl......and please turn your res down and eye candy down.........HURRAH!!!!!!!............I FINISHED IT!!!!!!
