Nvidia TV output

So I have a converter to convert the s-output on my 7800GTX to a digital and a digital cord going to my TV. It isn't even being detected by the graphics card and force TV detection isn't working.

Anyone got any ideas to get it to work?

Try making sure everything is properly attached and rebooting. Hopefully it will detect it when it boots up.

I have to do this if I unplug/plug back in my second monitor while the computer is running.

Try booting it up with both a monitor and the TV connected and turned on. Go into the graphics options and select the right TV properties, (PAL-I for the UK, NTSC for USA, thats all I can think of right now). You might need to find the option to switch over to your TV if your card doesn't support extending your desktop over multiple displays. Once you get it working, shut down comp, unplug monitor and turn back on.
